The Network Contract DES Guidance for 22/23 set out the funding arrangements for primary care networks for this financial year which saw the ARRS funding being uplifted from £746m to £1.027bn, as planned to the five year deal. There has also been a £43m extension for leadership and management and the Clinical Director pot is now £87m. The IIF has been uplifted to £260m and the two funding streams for the PCN DES extended hours (£1.44 per patient) and CCG commissioned enhanced access (£6 per patient) will be combined under the Network Contract DES to fund a single, nationally consistent access offer with updated requirements to be delivered by PCN’s.
What does this mean for PCNs and how much funding should they expect in 22/23? Take a look at our handy guide which details the monthly payments (where applicable) and the rates per weighted population as at 1 January 2022.
We are supporting many primary care networks nationally, please get in touch if you would like to have a chat about this or indeed anything PCN related.
