CQC aims to process an application within 10–12 weeks from submission; however, timelines can vary depending on sector complexity and the quality of the application.

1. Triage stage

CQC checks your application is complete and all required documents are included. If anything is missing or unclear, it may be returned or delayed.

3. Registered Manager interview
The final stage is a structured interview to assess the suitability, knowledge, and competence of the Registered Manager and provider.
