CQC & Sustainability: What You Need to Know
Sustainability is now a core part of CQC’s expectations. It’s included in the new quality statements and applies to all registered providers – from GP practices and private clinics to care homes and community services.
The CQC wants to see that you’re taking steps to reduce environmental impact, use resources responsibly, and improve outcomes for patients and the wider community. This is about more than compliance – it’s about delivering care that’s safe, future-focused, and socially responsible.

Use electronic records and reduce paper use
Document everything and collect feedback from staff and patients
Why It Matters
